What the company is

YNOT is a B2B media brand for the adult industry, run by YNOT Group LLC, which its terms describe as a Delaware limited liability company. The about page says YNOT was founded in 1996 and serves adult companies, performers, affiliates and service providers. Its flagship is YNOT.com, described as industry news, a directory and how-to guides, with free newsletters that deliver announcements and offers. The group also runs YNOT Europe for EU business news and a photo-journalism site from industry events, and its trademark list adds YNOT Mail, YNOT ID, YNOT Summit, YNOT Awards, YNOT Cam Awards, YNOT Cammunity and YNOT Reunion. A separate site, YNOT Cam, offers tips for cam performers and creators.

YNOT began as YNOTnetwork.com and YNOTmasters.com, which the about page says founder Rick Muenyong created as a central hub for early online developers to network and share ethical practices. The about page names two industry veterans as the current owners: the CEO, who joined in 2003 as editor-in-chief, became president and then co-owner and CEO in 2010, and the president. The terms say the site's owner is based in Texas and give an office address in Round Rock.

The news desks

The YNOT.com menu lists Industry News, Adult Business News, Adult Novelty News, Adult Industry Legal News, Tech News for Adult Webmasters, Video Game News for Adults, EU News, the PR Wire, Podcasts, Industry Guides and Newsletters, plus talent news, interviews and opinions. The editorial team named on the about page covers three beats for operators: a reporter on legal and political topics, a business correspondent tracking trends, company updates and market shifts, and a technology correspondent on platform updates, product launches and the tools behind the business side of the trade.

The front page in October 2026 shows what those desks carry. Tech News for Adult Webmasters ran pieces on how AI is changing adult content production and on a tool that finds key moments in adult video from images rather than dialogue. Adult Business News ran a web developer's new flexible development subscriptions, a clip platform adding subscriptions to creator stores, and the second part of a series on planning an exit before selling a business. The legal desk reported a district court blocking the VPN provision of Utah's age verification law and a Free Speech Coalition report on debanking. A video game desk follows adult game releases and the Adult Game Fest.

Guides and the PR wire

The Industry Guides section holds longer reading for people building or buying a site: a 2023 guide to adult traffic networks, a newbie series on adult site categories that opens with pay sites and their content, retention and hosting costs, pieces on adult website development, on what to expect from an adult site broker, on buying an adult website, and on PR agents for adult brands.

The YNOT Industry Wire publishes what it calls "Unedited press releases from adult entertainment companies", sorted into company, retail and talent news, and its archive runs to 1,820 pages. A Submit PR link sits at the top of every page.

YNOT Europe

YNOT Europe describes itself as a companion to YNOT.com with stories focused on European markets, naming Germany, the U.K., Italy, France, Spain and Russia. Its menu covers business, tech, law and politics and the gay market, with market pages for France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, an Industry Spotlight on people and companies, a Business Wire, events and a directory. Its monthly archive runs back to May 2010. The same page says YNOT Group owns the email marketing platform YNOTmail.com and runs business events including the annual YNOT Awards show and the YNOT GP kart racing series, a networking event for industry professionals.

Events and podcasts

The about page credits the CEO with founding the YNOT Cam Awards and co-founding the YNOT Awards, the YNOT Cammunity and the YNOT Summit, and says the president has hosted several YNOT Awards and YNOT Cam Awards ceremonies. Recorded YNOT Summit sessions play on the site in two tracks: a webmaster track with a session on understanding webcam business models, and a model track with sessions such as Cam Law 101. The leadership also hosts podcasts, among them Sell Porn or Die Trying, The Humpday Lunch Show and Porn And Coffee.

What it sells an operator

The sales team page lists display, sponsorship and newsletter placements; brand and product launches with targeted reach; custom campaign packages across YNOT properties; dedicated email mailers for a product or brand; and performance-driven options with flexible budgets. The form asks for the company or product to advertise, an ad campaign budget, a subject and a message, and the team promises a plan tailored to the buyer's goals and budget. No rate card or minimum spend is printed; pricing comes by quote. The about page also names YNOT Mail and YNOT ID as software services the group has built out.

The terms that decide the choice

The terms of use, last modified August 12, 2022, limit the site to users who are at least 18, of the age of majority where they live and in jurisdictions that do not prohibit adult material, and say the site is provided for the United States and countries where pornographic content is permitted. Use of the content is for personal, noncommercial purposes, and YNOT's marks may not be used without written permission. Linking to the homepage is allowed if it suggests no endorsement.

User contributions, such as comments and profiles, must follow content standards that bar defamatory, harassing or hateful material, child sexual abuse material and intellectual property infringement, and YNOT may remove any contribution at its discretion. Copyright complaints go to the copyright agent named in YNOT's DMCA Policy, and the terms say YNOT terminates repeat infringers' accounts. The terms also say the site is reader supported and may earn a commission on purchases made through its links, and that content may be out of date.

Disputes fall under Texas law, in the federal court for the Southern District of Texas or a Texas state court, with a jury waiver; YNOT may require arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules, and claims must be filed within one year.

Getting started and support

Each contact route has its own form. The sales form covers advertising, the editorial form handles story ideas, press releases, interviews and corrections, with subjects for a news lead, an interview request or an issue report, and asks for a name, a clear summary, links or press kits and any deadlines. Both forms give a typical response time of 1-2 business days. The terms send technical support and other site communications to a support team through a ZenDesk contact form. Registration, login and the free newsletters are open from every page.

Who it suits

YNOT suits a site operator who wants trade news with a dedicated webmaster tech desk, legal coverage of age verification and banking, practical guides on building, buying and selling sites, and a European edition. Vendors get a sales team for display, sponsorship, newsletter and mailer campaigns, an unedited PR wire and a set of awards and summit events.

It suits less an operator who wants published ad rates, since campaigns are quoted, and some guides carry their year, such as the 2023 traffic network guide. Its strength is a trade brand running since 1996 with news, guides, events and a European desk under one roof.
