About Start a Porn Site
Start a Porn Site is an independent directory of the businesses that adult sites run on. It is for adults only. It does not sell hosting, billing or software, and its pages carry text and links, with no pictures or clips.
What gets listed
A business is listed only when it sells something to the owner of an adult site and its own pages say so: an adult hosting plan, a billing service, a script, a publisher program, an agency practice, a legal service. Hosts, processors and delivery networks are listed only when their own terms accept legal adult content. A general provider that does not publish that acceptance is left out, however popular it is with site owners.
A listing is one business. A company with two products is listed twice only when each product has its own site and its own terms.
Other directories and lists of webmaster resources, coupon sites, general tools with no adult side, traffic bots and paid link schemes are not listed. Neither is a host that ignores copyright notices, or any business whose name or pitch presents performers as younger than 18 or content as made without consent.
What a write-up covers
Every write-up is based on the vendor's own pages: the home page, plans and pricing, the acceptable use policy and terms, the payout or fee page, the DMCA page, the FAQ and the contact page. It says what the vendor sells a site owner, what its terms say about adult content, what it charges or pays where the pages print it, and how billing, payouts and cancellation work. Where a page does not say something, the write-up says so instead of guessing.
A price or rate is given as the page printed it, in that currency, and carries the month it was read. We have not bought every service listed here, and the write-ups do not pretend otherwise.
Pages are read again over time. When a business closes, its listing is retired.
Categories
A business joins a category because its own pages back it up: the service it sells, the program it runs, the market it serves. A business can sit in several categories and still has a single write-up.
How listings are ordered
Within a category, the better-known businesses come first. Star ratings, where shown, come from visitors.
Money
Businesses are not charged to be listed. An outbound link may be an affiliate link, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up or buy after clicking. That does not change which businesses are listed or what their write-ups say.
Suggestions and corrections
If a business that serves adult site owners is missing, you can suggest it through the submission form. If a listing has a fact wrong, or a service has closed or changed, send a note through the contact form. It is the only way to reach us.
