What XBIZ is

XBIZ is an adult industry trade publisher based in Los Angeles. Its about page describes it as covering the business at XBIZ.com and in two monthly publications, XBIZ World for the digital media market and XBIZ Premiere for the pleasure product market, and says XBIZ hosts a series of annual events that culminate in the XMAs, which it calls the Adult Industry's Biggest Night. The footer carries a 2026 copyright line for XBIZ Media, while the contact page gives Adnet Media as the general contact, with an office on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, and the XBIZ.net terms call the company "Adnet Media (XBIZ ™)".

For a site operator, XBIZ is a trade news source, a professional network, an events calendar and an advertising outlet in one. Its network menu lists XBIZ.com, XBIZ.net, XBIZ World, XBIZ Premiere, XBIZ LA, XBIZ Miami, XBIZ Amsterdam, XBIZ Expo and the XMAs.

The news desks

XBIZ.com is organized into Movies & Stars, Web & Tech, Pleasure & Retail, Gay and Cams & Clips, with further sections for Legal, Trans and Europe. Web & Tech, the desk closest to people who run sites, splits into news, trends, profiles, opinion and virtual reality. The home page adds feature articles, special reports, editors' picks, movie and product reviews, photo galleries from events and a Submit News link for companies with announcements.

The Legal desk follows the rules that shape adult sites week by week. In early October 2026 its headlines covered California enacting stricter user-generated content rules for adult sites and limiting privacy-law claims against online businesses, a Utah excise tax on adult content taking effect on October 1 according to a Free Speech Coalition advisory, Ofcom notifying two site operators of provisional findings under the Online Safety Act, a federal injunction against the VPN provision of Utah's age verification law, and a German court pausing a regulator's order to block two Aylo sites. Special reports on the home page include a piece on how rolling reserves affect cash flow and merchant stability and a profile of a billing company CEO looking back on 20 years. Opinion columns include a September 26, 2026 piece by attorney Lawrence G. Walters on the federal age verification bill H.R. 7757, which he reports passed the House by a vote of 267-117, and a column on the website footer requirements adult merchants should know.

Topic pages collect coverage by subject; one gathers the weekly guest announcements of an adult site broker podcast, which the page counts at 322 results, with guests from age verification, email marketing, payments and creator businesses. The feature archive also holds long-form guides on content distribution, licensing, ad networks and becoming a content provider, some dated: the ad network feature marks developments as new for 2012, and the licensing piece is written from 2013.

XBIZ.net, the industry network

XBIZ.net calls itself the industry hub for networking and business opportunities. Members keep a professional industry profile, connect with industry people worldwide, discuss issues and find jobs and business opportunities. Its network statistics report 31,045 members, 487,129 connections, 49 market segments, 154 countries, 35,346 discussions and 6,536 jobs and opportunities. The XBIZ.com home page shows its latest discussions and job posts, such as openings for a media buyer, an email marketing specialist for adult paysites and a CTO.

The XBIZ.net terms set who may join and how to post. Use is limited to individuals who work in or provide products or services to the adult industry, and Adnet Media may deactivate registrations from people outside the industry; anonymous profiles are not allowed. Promotional threads are limited to XBIZ advertisers and sponsors, and event threads to XBIZ media partners. Unsolicited promotional private messages, trolling, soliciting user information or votes, and duplicate threads, blogs or opportunity listings are not allowed. A member may add one static image to a board signature through the upload function, but no further banners or logos. Prohibited content includes incitement to violence, threats and harassment, hateful remarks, sharing personal information and doxing users by revealing their legal names. XBIZ may move threads, and it does not necessarily remove a member's posts when an account is suspended or closed. The privacy policy says the site is not intended for anyone under 18. The XBIZ.net contact form offers General, Suggestion, Report Abuse and Advertising as subjects.

What it sells an operator

Advertising is the main product. The contact page offers integrated media campaigns across web, print, events and custom content and points to a media kit; no rate card or package prices are printed. A marketing contact handles promotional and business development opportunities.

The Adult Business Directory sorts companies into categories including affiliate programs, cam sites and services, studios and producers, content licensing, pleasure products, payment processing, distributors and wholesalers, creative, professional and tech services, traffic generation, retailers, video production and industry resources. Each category page shows featured company profiles in the company's own words above standard listing groups; the affiliate programs page, for example, splits standard listings into membership sites, clip sites and video on demand, dating and personals, online retail and other. Listing prices are not printed.

Events

The events calendar for the 2027 season, all in Los Angeles, lists XBIZ LA and XBIZ Expo from January 7 to 10, X3 Expo and Sex Expo on January 8 and 9, XBIZ Honors, Online Industry Edition, on January 8, and the 2027 XMAs on January 10. An editors' pick announces that the 2027 XMA award categories are out and pre-nominations are open. The photo galleries show earlier editions of X3 Expo Amsterdam and an Ibiza event. Ticket, booth and sponsorship prices are not printed on these pages.

Terms and getting started

Articles carry a notice that reproduction in whole or in part, in any form or medium, is prohibited without express written permission, with reprint permission requested through the contact page. The XBIZ.net terms say the site is provided as is, that Adnet Media does not warrant the information is complete or accurate, and that nothing on it is advice of any kind; they limit Adnet Media's liability, including for business losses.

Getting started is by contact. The contact page splits inboxes by purpose: general information, editorial inquiries and news submissions, advertising, marketing and business development, subscriptions, and press and interview requests, with a phone and fax number for the Los Angeles office. Newsletters are a self-service sign-up on every page, and XBIZ.net takes new members through its Join button under the line "Work in adult?".

Company and track record

The about page says XBIZ is frequently cited in the media and lists The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Forbes, Wired and the Los Angeles Times among outlets that have featured it, with press clippings running back to January 2013.

Who it suits

XBIZ suits a site operator who wants daily trade news with a strong legal and compliance desk, a professional network limited to industry members, a place to look for staff or partners, and a January show calendar in Los Angeles to plan around. Vendors get an advertising route across web, print and events and a place in the business directory.

It suits less an operator who wants published ad rates or self-service booking, since prices come through the media kit and the sales contacts, and some feature advice in the archive dates from 2012 and 2013. Its strength is breadth: one publisher covering web, legal, retail and cams, with a network, magazines and awards under the same name.
