What PlugRush sells a site

PlugRush is a self-serve advertising network that buys a website's traffic for its advertisers and partners. The sell-traffic page says it monetizes a site's worldwide traffic and serves every visitor a targeted ad, and the home page frames the business as one place to buy, sell and trade traffic. The publisher guidelines state that the program is designed for sites with premium content and that "we do allow adult content", and the push guide says both mainstream and adult websites can run its push ads. The footer copyright runs from 2010, and no page names a legal entity, a registered country or staff.

An owner can sell 4 kinds of unit. The ad-formats page calls push notifications its "most popular" format and popunders a "must have" for a high-traffic website, and it calls display banners the "most common" format. Native ads come in 2 forms set side by side: a block of native ads placed wherever the owner wants, and Real Native Ads, which the system inserts automatically into content areas.

How the units work

Setup is self-serve. The sell-traffic page says the main ad code can be placed on a site in a matter of minutes; pops and push are then switched on at the click of a button, and display zones for banners and native ads are set where the owner wants them. The sell-traffic page also promises no contracts.

Real Native Ads are inserted into a site's content one by one, in spots that copy the look of the surrounding content. The guide's example is a tube front page listing videos with a title and view count, where the native units carry a title and view count too, and its 3-step setup begins with registering the website and adding the main ad code.

Push pays per click. The push guide says many networks pay a publisher a fixed amount per subscriber sent to them, while PlugRush pays on clicks from the ads its subscribers receive, which the guide presents as a route to long-term earnings from visitors who have already left the site. The guide says the PHP version of the main ad code, with push switched on from the websites overview, avoids the double opt-in that the "JavaScript - Not AdBlock Safe" version or an old PHP file leaves in place, and that a PHP file downloaded before November 15, 2018 should be downloaded again. It also warns that bombarding visitors with many ads on each page load can do damage over time.

The sell-traffic page claims a 99% fill rate and says the higher the quality of the traffic, the greater the rates; no page prints a rate for any format. Statistics are real-time and break down by date, hour and country. The page adds that the ad inventory is monitored 24/7 and that the ad codes support HTTPS.

Payouts

The sell-traffic page says payments go out whenever the owner requests them, by PayPal, Paxum or bank wire, and the payment-methods page adds WebMoney. A withdrawal can be requested at any time but must be approved by the Financial Department before the money is sent. The payment-methods table read in October 2026 sets a $25 minimum for PayPal withdrawals with a 2.00% fee and a $25 minimum for Paxum with a flat $2.00 fee, while bank wire withdrawals start at $1000 and carry a variable fee set by the banks involved. Other withdrawals are processed in 0 to 5 days and wires take 1 to 5 business days to arrive.

Two conditions in the guidelines govern payout. A publisher is eligible only while its ad zones stay active on its websites. And if any listed rule is broken, the website or account may be blocked or closed without prior notice, with any current or pending earnings forfeited.

Content rules and compliance

The publisher guidelines say websites in the network are checked regularly by the compliance team and list the rules a site must follow. Adult websites and content must comply with 18 U.S.C. 2257. Sites must not contain illegal material, which the guidelines spell out as including anything involving minors, bestiality, violence and other extreme categories. Copyright, trademark and other intellectual property infringement is barred, as are excessive advertising and sites that are under construction or short on content. Publishers may not use tools that artificially generate impressions or clicks, spread lockers or malware, or spam the ad codes through social media or email marketing. PlugRush may update the list at any time without notice. No page sets out a DMCA or abuse complaint procedure.

The traffic trade program

The Trade Program lets a site owner swap clicked traffic with other publishers. The home page says it is fully automated and free, the trade page says an approved site receives only clicked traffic from other sites and can choose the platforms and countries it receives visitors from, and it adds that not all of a site's traffic can be traded, so the rest still earns. Entry is limited to websites with premium original content that is updated regularly. The guidelines list reasons for refusal: too few existing visitors, excessive pops, push, banners or native ads, free hosting or free domain names, software piracy, hidden links or iframes, search-ranking manipulation, redirects, and sites pushing browser extensions, bulk email or spyware. A site entered as mainstream must carry no adult content at all.

API, RTB and onboarding

An owner signs up, registers the website and adds the main ad code. The API page offers API v2 for automating an account and fetching statistics, with documentation inside the account; API v1 is no longer updated. Publishers with a lot of traffic, such as other ad networks or SSPs, can sell through real-time bidding using XML, JSON and OpenRTB for desktop and mobile pops, and XML and JSON for push, after contacting PlugRush to enable it. The RTB and XML guide adds that such partners add a site that is not an ad network, ask the account manager for a review and receive feeds once the domain is approved; they do not need the verification that applies to direct publishers.

Support and company

The support center offers guidelines, FAQs, definitions and payment-method pages, live support on Skype and, as a last resort, mail or a visit to the office. The company's own blog claims round-the-clock customer support. The pages name no clients, certifications or team members beyond the copyright dates.

Who it suits

The site-operator side of PlugRush is a self-serve monetization route for an adult or mainstream site that wants popunder, push, banner and native units without a contract, plus a free traffic trade for sites with original, regularly updated content. The same network sells that traffic to advertisers who buy adult and mainstream visitors through its self-serve platform.

It suits a tube or content site with a listing grid, which Real Native Ads are built to match, and a site with returning visitors that wants per-click push earnings. The caveats are the approval step on every withdrawal, a bank wire minimum well above the PayPal and Paxum ones, the forfeiture clause on a blocked account, and no written DMCA route. The strength is a quick self-serve setup with payouts on request, real-time statistics, a written statement that adult content is allowed, and an RTB route for larger sellers.
