ExoClick is an ad network and ad exchange based in Barcelona, Spain, founded in 2006. Its about page calls it a global ad tech company and the largest digital advertising platform in the entertainment sector, and it says the company is part of EXOGROUP, a wider portfolio of advertising and technology companies. The homepage marks 20 years of operation in 2026. The contracting company in the terms is ExoClick, S.L., and the contact page gives its address at Marina 16-18 in Barcelona with a Spanish VAT number. For a site operator the publisher platform is the part that matters; the publisher page promises 24/7 ad security compliance with anti-malvertising protection, and claims a 100% fill rate on traffic from every country.
What a publisher gets
The publisher page lists the monetizable surfaces as a website, a product page, an email list, a membership platform or SSP inventory, with access to thousands of advertiser campaigns across several verticals. The network describes 20+ ad formats, including display, video, native, rich media, popunders and direct links. Its features include an ad refresh option that reloads native and banner zones automatically, multi-format ads that compete for one placement, native CSS so native units can match a site's design, a setting that blocks specific categories from appearing on a site's inventory, custom real-time dashboards, and a campaign manager for running a site's own programmatic platform.
The page also names a proprietary ad block circumvention feature called Neverblock, which the docs describe as improving compatibility with many ad blockers rather than a single one. It names MPC server technology as the revenue optimizer, and a free open source HTML video player for video ads. The partner features include a certified age verification solution. The page does not describe how that solution works or which laws it covers. It also lists an ExoClick API for automating sites and ad zones, tracking performance and building custom dashboards.
The publisher options differ by the kind of site. The page lists separate solutions for open web sites, members areas, email lists, product owners and SSPs.
Ad formats and video tracking
For video, the publisher docs describe VAST as the delivery standard. The default served is VAST 3, and the network uses VAST for in-stream, outstream, slider and in-video units. The docs define the tracked events as an impression, when the player starts playback; a view, counted after 10 seconds of normal playback, or 3 seconds for vertical video; and a click. A site that uses a VAST tag zone has to process these events in its player. The docs point to separate tutorials for in-stream and in-video setup and a list of VAST error codes for debugging.
Setup and approval
The publisher docs describe setup as a sign-up with the publisher option, then a site submission, then a compliance review. A new site is marked pending until the compliance team reviews it. If a site is rejected, the reason is shown in the admin panel, and the site owner contacts the compliance team after fixing the issue. Sites with many domains can ask the compliance team to validate them together through the contact form.
An account can hold up to 2,500 active zones, with no cap on archived zones. The docs say setup takes about 15 minutes on average, though a review time is not given. The admin panel has tabs for the dashboard, statistics, sites and zones, payments, and Neverblock.
Payments, minimums and what the terms say
The publisher page lists weekly or monthly payments by crypto, Paxum, BitPay and wire transfer. The seller terms list wire transfer, Paxum and cryptocurrencies as the methods, with payments generated automatically by the platform. A payment is made only after the seller reaches the minimum payout limit set in the admin panel, and that limit is not printed on the public pages. ExoClick pays only for ads delivered to sites it has approved, and an unapproved seller is not paid the revenue shown in its panel.
The terms say ExoClick issues the seller's invoice on the seller's behalf, and that the seller warrants the invoicing data is accurate and, for EU sellers, that any intra-EU VAT number is valid. ExoClick does not pay income taxes, bank charges or currency fees for the seller. A seller that does not supply proof of its tax registration as a freelancer or business authorizes ExoClick to deduct any VAT or withholding tax due to the Spanish tax office. ExoClick is not responsible for a crypto payment sent to an erroneous wallet address, and it can withhold, stop or cancel payments that are due.
The terms set a few rules that carry money risk. ExoClick's ad server is the official counter for impressions and clicks, and its online statistics may not be fully accurate and may be adjusted. Where coding on a site produces a large number of erroneous impressions, the network can withhold payment on all of them. It does not guarantee any volume of traffic. A seller whose account is closed for a breach forfeits any amount remaining in its panel as a penalty.
Bringing in publishers
In October 2026 the publisher program that rewards bringing in other publishers pays 5% of the revenue generated by each new approved publisher that a site owner brings in, for as long as that publisher stays active. The terms say a publisher cannot bring in its own accounts, and that ad networks are not eligible. The program has conditions on Google Ads campaigns that target the ExoClick brand, and ExoClick may suspend an account from the program at any time.
Content and advertiser rules that reach a site
The publisher operator should know what the advertiser guidelines allow onto its pages. The guidelines state that banners and landing pages must be 18 U.S.C. 2257 compliant, and they ban extreme violence and a list of other acts in campaign material. They also say that adult live cam shows and custom videos may not be promoted to Swedish audiences, under Swedish law. Deepfake, face-swap and undressing apps are not accepted, and banners that show a phone number must use CPM pricing rather than CPC. Images and texts may not change faster than once every 2 seconds, and auto redirection is not permitted.
The publisher terms add their own duties. The publisher must follow the publisher guidelines and the content moderation and notice procedures for removing illegal content. Sites are ineligible if they infringe copyright or promote piracy, have fewer than 50 unique visitors a day, run on free blogging or forum platforms, are under construction, or carry more than 6 ads a page, more than 2 pop-ups or pop-unders or more than 1 exit pop-up across all networks. The terms bar procuring business through unfair methods, brand bidding, hidden tracking ads and fraudulent impressions of any kind, including ads on pages that reload themselves; a blocked seller has a month to object with evidence. A publisher that runs a network of sub-publishers must pass the agreement to them and remains liable for their conduct.
DMCA, copyright and abuse
ExoClick says it qualifies as an intermediary service provider under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act and under the EU Digital Services Act, and it names its Compliance Team as its designated agent. The copyright page asks every publisher to keep a clear DMCA or copyright policy on its site, with a working contact form or email address, so that disputes can be handled by the site without the network acting as a mediator.
Where ExoClick hosts the material, it may remove it, notify the advertiser and pass along the complainant's contact details. Where it does not host the material, it forwards the complaint to the publisher or site owner, who is the party able to act. Repeat infringers may lose access. The copyright form on the page takes the links to the material in question and proof of ownership.
Privacy and consent
The privacy policy places the duty to collect consent on the site operator. ExoClick may only drop cookies on an end user's device with that user's prior consent in the European Economic Area, and the consent is collected by the client who runs the website or app. The policy says end-user data is kept for a maximum of 365 days from collection. It also names a data protection officer and a Spanish supervisory authority for complaints.
Support and contact
The contact page routes requests through a form with reasons for general questions, account closure, complaints, publisher payments, website review, VAT verification and feedback. Customer Success handles technical and general questions, and the compliance team handles payments and site review.
Who it suits
The publisher program suits a site with video or image content on the open web, a members area or an email list that can carry many formats and wants automated inventory management through the API. It suits a site owner who accepts the compliance review and the payment minimum set in the panel, and who can run a DMCA contact and a consent flow.
It does not suit a site that cannot keep a published copyright policy, an operator that needs a published minimum payout or a fixed rate before signing, or a site owner who wants to avoid forfeiting the balance on a breach. The network does not guarantee volume, and it may adjust statistics.
On the buy side, the docs describe conversion tracking with Voluum and RedTrack, and an API token that syncs costs and automates rules, and its advertiser guidelines set the formats and content limits above.
The program's strongest point for a site operator is breadth: 20+ formats, video tracking in the open standard, an ad block recovery tool and an API that lets the site manage its own zones.
