A merchant account provider with a dedicated adult desk
2Accept is a US payment company with an address in Westlake Village, California, and its adult industry page is written for people who run paid adult websites. The footer names it a trademark of KNET Systems Corp, a registered ISO/MSP of Merrick Bank and several other US banks, and calls it a KNET SYSCO company. For an adult operator it places the business with an acquiring bank that approves adult content, issues a dedicated merchant ID (MID) and gateway credentials, and assigns a payment expert to the account. The adult page lists the operators it underwrites: subscription paysites and tube sites, live cam and webcam platforms, creator subscription platforms with revenue splits between creators, adult VOD and pay-per-view stores, multi-site networks, adult dating and adult novelty retail. The same company sells ordinary card processing, ACH and eCheck, terminals and invoicing to non-adult businesses, but the adult page is where an operator learns what the account will look like.
What the adult accounts include
The page ties each content type to a merchant category code. Paysites, tube sites, cam platforms, creator subscription sites and VOD stores process under MCC 5967. Adult dating sits on MCC 7273, and the page says content and dating generally need separate MIDs that share one master underwriting relationship and settle into one account. Adult novelty retail qualifies under MCC 5945 or MCC 5967 depending on how the store is positioned, and card-present point of sale is also supported for a physical shop.
Every adult MID the company places carries Visa's Adult Entertainment Provider (AEP) registration, and 2Accept says it handles that filing end to end, including the annual fee remittance and quarterly compliance verification, if the merchant does not already hold it. The billing models it underwrites cover monthly subscription rebills on a tokenized vault with Account Updater, free trials that convert to a rebill (approved only with a flow that follows Visa's NRR rules on subscriber notification and cancellation), one-time pay-per-scene charges, token and credit micro-purchases for cam sites, and multi-payee revenue splits for creator platforms, which require creator KYC.
The risk tooling around the account includes Ethoca and Verifi CDRN alerts that forward a dispute before it posts as a chargeback, 3D Secure 2.0 on card-not-present transactions, optional Kount or Sift fraud scoring, AVS and CVV checks, and a representment team that files evidence packages built from subscriber IP logs, login history, content consumption data and the signed terms of service.
Integration
Approved merchants receive credentials for Authorize.net, NMI, USAePay or a native 2Accept gateway. The page names a custom REST API with developer documentation, a hosted payment page that sits in an iframe, NATS adult membership systems, WordPress adult membership plugins including Membership Plus, WP Adult Membership and Paid Memberships Pro builds, and custom token APIs for cam platforms. An operator who already runs a compatible gateway can keep it: 2Accept says it switches only the acquiring bank behind it, leaving checkout, subscriber vaulting and recurring billing in place. Non-US brands are placed with acquirers in the UK, EU, Caribbean or APAC, with settlement in USD, EUR, GBP and CAD.
Rates, reserves and funding
Pricing is set per merchant, but the page publishes working ranges. In October 2026 it states that adult rates start at 4.95% for top-tier mainstream subscription content with clean compliance and steady monthly volume above $50K; niche or specialty content, cam platforms with higher chargeback exposure and merchants on the MATCH list may price 5.50%–6.50%. Custom interchange-plus pricing is offered to high-volume operators, and after 6 months of clean processing 2Accept can ask the acquirer for a rate review.
As read in October 2026, the reserve is a range rather than a promise: most adult accounts carry a rolling reserve of 5% to 15% held for 180 days, cam and free-trial paysites sit at the higher end, and the reserve can be renegotiated downward after 6 months of clean processing. Top-tier adult MIDs carry a monthly minimum of $25K to $50K, which the page explains as the acquirer's fixed AEP costs, adding that below the minimum the MID may operate at a loss.
The fee schedule read in October 2026 lists a chargeback fee of $20 to $45 per dispute depending on the account and acquirer, charged whatever the outcome of the dispute. The annual Visa AEP fee is paid through the MID, given as $500 to $2,500 per MID per year depending on volume, and published alongside the discount rate, per-transaction fee, monthly gateway fee and chargeback fee. The page says there is no PCI surcharge, no early termination fee and no application fee.
Funding on domestic US adult accounts is T+2 to T+3, a little slower than mainstream verticals. Offshore adult accounts fund weekly or bi-weekly, T+3 to T+7.
Contract and account terms
The adult FAQ says agreements carry no multi-year lock-in and no early termination fee, and that an account can be closed on 30 days' written notice. The acquirer keeps the rolling reserve for 180 days after closure. The general terms of service add that fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise, that fees may change on 30 days' notice, and that access can be suspended or ended at 2Accept's discretion without notice. The terms are governed by California law.
Policy, documents and who qualifies
The adult policy is approval by category rather than a blanket allowance, and specialty content goes to a stricter underwriting tier with higher reserves and closer 2257 record checks. The application asks for an EIN, articles of incorporation, a voided check, 3 months of bank and processing statements, ID for the signer, a live site with age verification at the landing page, a documented content moderation workflow, 2257 custodian-of-records paperwork for US-produced explicit content, a creator KYC flow for user-generated platforms and evidence of the billing flow. Creator platforms also need age and consent documentation for each upload. A dedicated adult underwriter reviews the moderation workflow, the billing flow, the descriptor and the chargeback ratio. The page lists a registered legal entity, a business bank account and a working platform as prerequisites, so this is not a route for a site still on the drawing board.
New adult businesses are not turned away automatically. A brand under 6 months old can qualify at top-tier pricing with a personal guarantee and a larger rolling reserve that falls after clean processing. A personal guarantee is standard on every adult MID, and a credit score below 600 does not automatically disqualify an applicant. Merchants closed by aggregators can apply with full disclosure of the reason and a remediation plan, and a declined application is reshopped to other banks in the network before a written explanation is sent.
On chargebacks, the page names the Visa and Mastercard monitoring programs that apply when a merchant's dispute ratio climbs, and says adult MIDs are watched more closely than mainstream ones. Its answer is the alert service: a merchant refunds inside the alert window and the dispute never counts against the ratio. Representment cycles are given as 45 to 60 days for Visa disputes.
The adult page describes non-US placement, while the general FAQ says 2Accept focuses on US businesses and asks owners for a Social Security Number and US-issued identification, and the site footer says a business must be US based. An overseas operator should ask which statement governs a specific case.
Getting started and support
The adult page lays out 4 steps: the online application, the underwriter review, receipt of the MID, and go-live in 48 to 72 hours. An underwriter reviews the file within 1 business hour, and complex cases such as large user-generated platforms or multi-site networks can take 5 to 7 business days. The page quotes a 48 hour average approval time, a 98% approval rate and more than 40 acquiring banks, which are the company's own claims. The underwriting review is free and described as a soft review with no credit pull, although the FAQ adds that a soft inquiry runs for personal guarantee verification and a hard pull is possible in some cases.
The support page lists live chat from the dashboard, a direct line to the assigned account specialist during business hours, a ticket system and email, and describes 24/7 priority assistance. Topics include onboarding, gateway integrations, chargeback prevention and compliance guidance.
Who it suits
For the high-risk merchant account category, 2Accept fits an established operator with a registered company, 2257 records, age verification and moderation in place, who wants AEP registration handled, alert tooling and a fee schedule published as ranges before the first call. In the adult payment processor category it is a card-acquiring route for paysites, cam and VOD stores, creator platforms and adult retail, with ACH and eCheck on the services page and a native gateway beside the third-party ones.
The caveats are the volume floor, the personal guarantee, the reserve held after closure and the open question about non-US applicants. The strength is how much of the adult underwriting picture, from reserves to the AEP fee to funding times and notice terms, sits in print before an application is filed.
