What the vendor is
Agemin is an age assurance product of Bynn Intelligence, Inc., sold to websites and apps that must keep under-age users away from restricted content. It ships as a JavaScript and TypeScript SDK, an API and a hosted flow, and it returns a pass or fail to the operator's own server. The docs draw the line plainly: Agemin answers one question, whether a person is old enough, and does not tell the site who they are. Anyone who needs a name, date of birth or KYC record is pointed to a separate product, Bynn Identity Verification. Agemin's adult content page is written for paywalled video, cam and premium subscription businesses, tube sites and user generated content platforms with mixed-age audiences, content marketplaces and creator hubs, dating communities with age-restricted interactions, and even in-store kiosks for on-premise adult media sales. Other solution pages cover e-commerce, gambling, gaming, social media, alcohol, tobacco and weapons, adult toys and user generated content.
What it sells an operator
The adult page describes 18+ and 21+ age gates that plug into a sign-up, a paywall or a content gate, with a verification it puts under 2 seconds. Its approach is to start with the lightest acceptable check and step up only when needed, with policy thresholds configurable by market and product category. The page offers a choice of verification method. Facial Age Estimation uses liveness detection, needs no documents and returns instant results. Email Age Estimation reads what the page calls privacy-safe metadata signals from financial and utility providers. Document Verification accepts a government ID, passport or ID card. The homepage lists government ID, credit card and phone as alternative methods, and the adult page also describes mobile network operator checks.
Behind the methods sits a decision engine. The adult page says it combines liveness, device and session risk and configurable rules to pass clear cases instantly, send borderline cases to a step-up check and auto-deny high-risk attempts. Real-time dashboards and exports are meant to show evasion patterns such as multi-accounting and shared credentials, and teams get enterprise SSO and role-based access controls.
What the site receives is narrow by design. The docs list a pass or fail against the operator's threshold, a confidence level, the operator's own reference ID and, when an ID was used, the document type and issuing country. The site never receives the user's name, date of birth, document number or any image. Document capture can be switched on per app in the dashboard as a fallback for users who cannot complete a face scan; Agemin reads the date of birth, computes an age and discards the date.
Pricing is usage-based on top of a monthly minimum. As of October 2026 the pricing page lists a free tier with 100 verifications a month, a Core plan with a $99 monthly minimum commitment at $0.084 per verification plus $0.16 for liveness detection, and a Forensic Business plan with a $599 monthly minimum at $0.024 per verification plus the same liveness charge. Forensic Business adds anti-deepfake checks, document forensics and government database verification. The comparison table prices the ID document fallback at +$0.79 per ID on Core and +$0.25 per ID on Forensic Business. Enterprise, for 250K+ monthly verifications, is priced on volume and adds a white-label solution and volume discounts. The homepage advertises checks "from just $0.0106 per check", a figure that matches none of the plan rates on the pricing page.
The terms that decide the choice
Adult content is a named sector with its own solution page, and the page says Agemin helps operators meet the laws that mandate age verification online. The pages set no content rules of their own for adult sites; thresholds and methods are the operator's settings.
Data handling is where the vendor is most specific. The adult page says no data is stored long-term unless required by law and that operators get granular control over retention and regional rules, can run checks server-side and can log auditable outcomes for internal and external reviews. The docs say no personal data is stored by default, biometric data is deleted after verification, traffic is end-to-end encrypted, and operators should use reference IDs for audit trails. The docs insist that results be validated on the operator's backend, because frontend results can be manipulated, and that private API keys stay on the server, which the adult page ties to billing integrity. The adult page shows GDPR and SOC 2 Type II badges, and the docs cite ISO 27001 certified infrastructure.
Service levels differ by plan. The comparison table lists a 99% SLA on Core, 99.5% on Forensic Business and 99.9% on Enterprise, while the homepage says all paid plans include 24/7 support and a 99.5%+ uptime SLA, so the pages disagree on Core. Plans run on a monthly minimum commitment; the pricing page's FAQ headings on setup fees, plan changes and payment methods carry no visible answers.
Getting started and support
Setup is self-service. The operator creates an account, registers its domain under Dashboard and Websites to receive an asset ID, and takes a public key for the frontend SDK and a private key for the backend API. The SDK installs from npm or a CDN and opens as a modal or a redirect. After a check it returns a session token, which the operator's server confirms against the status endpoint before granting access. The docs call this a 5-minute setup with 3 lines of code. Test keys and test email addresses simulate a pass or a fail; test mode shows a banner, keeps no results and has lower rate limits. Webhooks come with Core and above.
The pricing table lists AI support on the free tier, AI and human support on Core and Forensic Business, priority support on Forensic Business and 24/7 dedicated support on Enterprise. The docs link to a developer support team and a Discord community.
Company and track record
Bynn Intelligence, Inc. owns Agemin and lists Identity Verification, NFC Verification and Document Fraud Detection as its other products. The homepage claims a mean absolute error between 1.1 and 2.3 years depending on dataset and demographics, the social media page a 99.9% accuracy rate, and the adult page a response time under 100 ms. The homepage says Agemin is trusted by Fortune 500 companies, the pricing page that thousands of companies use it, and the adult page that leading adult content platforms do; no client is named. It cites support for Ofcom's Challenge-25 approach, which challenges users who appear under 25 to prove they are over 18, and for KJM in Germany, ARCOM in France and COPPA in the US.
Who it suits
Agemin is filed under age verification and content protection and moderation. On the moderation side, the pricing table lists Creator Moderation and Screening and Content Age Monitoring, and the user generated content page describes checks at upload or before going live, flagging content by age band, gating tipping, private messaging and voice chat, and a real-time moderation dashboard.
It suits a paysite, cam site or tube with user uploads that wants a developer-led integration, a choice of low-friction methods and results that reach its own server with no identity attached, and it lets a small site start on the free tier. It suits less well an operator that wants written contract terms or a single consistent uptime figure before signing. Agemin's strength is a privacy boundary set in the product itself: the site learns whether a visitor is old enough and nothing more.
