What the vendor is
Clym is a compliance software vendor run by Clym Inc., which gives its address in Wilmington, Delaware. Its about page says the company was founded in 2018 to solve GDPR compliance for small and mid-sized businesses. Today it sells one platform that bundles cookie and consent management, data subject requests, policy generation, an accessibility widget, whistleblowing, age gating, geographic restrictions and content takedown. Its adult content page presents that platform to adult entertainment businesses, describing it as a single platform built for the regulated adult entertainment industry that replaces several compliance tools at once. For an adult site operator Clym is a compliance layer around the site: the age gate, the consent banner, the legal documents and the takedown desk in one subscription.
What it sells an operator
The adult page groups the offer around adult-specific needs. Access controls combine geographic content restrictions with VPN and proxy detection, blocking visitors from jurisdictions where content is limited, and an age gate that supports both a direct age confirmation and full date of birth collection, set to the adult age each jurisdiction requires. The consent layer handles generic consent for cookies, Global Privacy Control, the Global Privacy Protocol, Google Consent Mode V2 and IAB TCF 2.2 for the EU, chosen by visitor location. It also runs separate consent for adult video under the Video Privacy Protection Act and for wiretapping rules on support chats, each producing its own consent receipts and audit trail kept apart from the consent given for cookies. The knowledge base says Clym is a Google-certified consent management platform aligned with IAB TCF, which matters to a site that runs Google ad products for EU and UK traffic.
The platform runs on ReadyCompliance and RealtimeCompliance. ReadyCompliance reads the company's location, sector, size, revenue and data processing, plus each visitor's location and device, to decide which rules apply to each visit, and the platform claims default settings for 190+ regulations. RealtimeCompliance scans the site to identify and classify more than 1,200 third-party services and loads each according to the consent the visitor gave. Around them sit version-controlled cookie and privacy policies and terms of service, a data subject request desk that tracks deadlines under GDPR, CPRA and other laws, an anonymous whistleblowing channel and an accessibility widget with 6 preset profiles and 25+ customization options.
Pricing is per digital property, scaled by monthly page views. In October 2026 the pricing page lists Start at $49 a month for up to 50K page views, Grow at $149 a month for up to 1.5M page views and Enterprise from $449 a month on a custom annual plan. Start covers 1 property with up to 3 subdomains, Grow 1 property with up to 5, and Enterprise multiple properties with unlimited subdomains. The plan split matters for an adult site: Start includes the accessibility tools, cookie, wiretapping and VPPA consent, data subject requests, policies and the governance portal, while age gating, restrictions with VPN and proxy detection, whistleblowing and content takedown begin at Grow. Enterprise adds unified annual billing, a shared or dedicated instance, a choice of data server location, API integration and a dedicated account manager. Installation assistance is sold as an add-on for $349 and is included in Enterprise.
The terms that decide the choice
Clym accepts adult businesses as a named customer segment with its own page, and its platform is a tool the operator configures; it sets no content rules for client sites.
Takedown is the operator-side duty the adult page covers most fully. It describes workflows for reports of illegal content, DMCA claims, material made or shared without the consent of the people shown, and platform policy violations, with tracking, resolution management and secure documentation sized for high volumes of user uploads. The page presents this as the way adult platforms keep moderation and DMCA handling documented.
Billing terms are in the pricing FAQ. Subscriptions run monthly or yearly, annual payment is available on request, and multi-year licenses can be agreed. All major credit cards are accepted for Start and Grow, and the FAQ says ACH and bank transfers are possible for a plan it calls Perform, a name the pricing table does not use. Self-registered customers change plans in the dashboard: an upgrade takes effect at once, a downgrade at the end of the current period, and after a cancellation the widget keeps working until the period ends. Every feature comes in the plan price, whether or not the operator switches it on.
Getting started and support
Setup starts with a free trial. The adult page describes 3 steps: create an account and let ReadyCompliance configure itself from the company profile and visitor locations, match the widget to the site's brand colors, then go live with default settings tuned for adult entertainment and adjust them later in the Control Center. A free scanner on the site checks a URL against privacy and accessibility rules before signing up. Start and Grow include weekly onboarding webinars, documentation and chat; Enterprise adds email and phone support, an SLA, dedicated training sessions and API documentation. The knowledge base covers installation, scripts and cookies, the governance portal, billing and invoices. The about page claims an average response time under one hour, and the contact page lists a support email and US phone numbers.
Company and track record
Clym Inc. was founded in 2018 and covered 150 regulations on its first day, according to its about page, which also says customers have collected more than 500 million consents through the platform. The about page lists the ADA Title III, Section 508, GDPR, CCPA and LGPD among the rules it covers. Clym runs a partner program for agencies, managed service providers and financial services firms, and a Clym for Good program priced for associations, chambers of commerce and non-profits. A testimonial on the adult page, from an enterprise retail client's chief compliance officer, says Clym streamlined its compliance across three continents with a single integration.
Who it suits
Clym's offer reaches past the age gate into takedown and moderation. On that side it gives an adult site a documented takedown workflow for DMCA claims and policy-violation reports, plus a whistleblowing channel. On the age side its gate relies on self-declared age or date of birth backed by geo-blocking and VPN detection; the pages describe no face estimation or document check, so a site facing a law that demands those needs a separate verifier.
It suits an adult tube, paysite or cam site that wants consent, VPPA video consent, policies, a date of birth gate and a takedown desk on one published monthly price, starting at the Grow plan. Its strength is breadth on a single bill, with the adult page's VPPA consent and takedown tracking aimed squarely at video sites with user uploads.
