What NOWPayments is

NOWPayments is a crypto payment gateway that lets a website accept payments in cryptocurrency and, through newer products, in fiat as well. It runs a dedicated page for adult platforms, which pitches crypto acceptance to operators who want to take payments from customers, send revenue to content creators and withdraw their own share, all from a single account. The about page says the company was founded in 2019 by the team behind ChangeNOW, a cryptocurrency exchange service, and every page signs off as launched by ChangeNOW. The operating entity named on the about page is FD Transfers LLC, incorporated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with a postal address in Tallinn, Estonia.

The adult page speaks to platforms that take payments from customers and send profits to content creators, manually or in mass payouts. The same gateway also serves casinos, gaming, e-commerce and a long list of other industries, so the adult page is a use case on a general platform rather than a product built only for the vertical.

What it sells an operator

The accept-payments side lists an API, invoices, fiat payments, subscriptions, a payment button, donation tools, point of sale, plugins, a payment widget and a white label option. The about page names plugins for Magento 2, OpenCart, WooCommerce, WHMCS, Zen Cart, PrestaShop and Ecwid, and says that for a basic setup the only step needed is to copy a chunk of HTML code. The white label page describes a customizable front end on top of NOWPayments' own processing back end, with custom interfaces, logos and styles, and API documentation available in 13 programming languages. A separate IPN documentation link covers payment notifications.

Currency coverage is wide. The home page claims 350+ crypto coins and 75+ "fiat coins", with auto-conversion of received coins, and says up to 1000 transactions can be processed at a time. The supported coins page lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, several Tether variants and a long tail of other tokens, and says the list is not final. For operators who do not want to hold crypto, the off-ramp product settles received crypto in fiat to a bank account, and the adult page lists fiat settlement and a fixed-rate option among its extras. Off-chain conversions through a custody account are offered as a way to save on fees and collect funds for cheaper withdrawals.

Security features named on the home page are 2FA, role-based access control for multiple accounts, and withdrawal whitelisting that limits payouts to pre-approved wallets. The pages also mention AML measures. The adult page adds its own promises: only the account holder has access to the funds, which it says are protected from blocking or transfers by anyone else, and the operator and its customers can stay anonymous, "as intended in the crypto world".

Fees and money terms

Durable points first. Pricing is built as a service fee per payment with a published starting point, loyalty discounts and a discount system, and enterprise pricing on request. The fee can be taken out of the received amount or passed on to the customer through a setting. The home page notes that the quoted fees exclude the network fees that blockchains require. As of October 2026 the adult page and the white label page both give the starting service fee as 1%, and say it can fall to as low as 0.3% through custom offers or the discount system.

Chargebacks work differently here, and the adult page says so in its own words: the average transaction time is 5 minutes, and there are no chargebacks or refunds unless the merchant initiates them. The pages publish no reserve or holdback terms, no minimum payment, no settlement schedule for fiat payouts and no contract term.

On the privacy and verification side, the adult page promises account activation in under a minute and calls the process KYB-free, while the fiat on-ramp page speaks of minimal KYB verification. Both are the vendor's wording and the pages do not match exactly. The on-ramp page says customers can deposit up to €700 without extensive KYC verification, as of October 2026. An AML/KYC policy and terms of service are published as separate legal documents. The adult page itself states no acceptable use policy and no list of permitted or forbidden content.

Payouts, on-ramp and the wallet side

On the e-wallets and banking side, the payout tooling matters most. As of October 2026 the mass payouts page describes a way to send crypto to many addresses in a single API call or from an uploaded CSV file with assets, addresses and amounts. Setup means activating the custody account, adding whitelisting and 2FA, and topping up the balance. The page claims payouts of 1000+ in one click, 350+ cryptocurrencies and an average transaction time of 5 minutes, and gives the API availability as 99.99% with a response time of 350 ms, which are the vendor's own figures. The payout page headline reads 0% service fees for payouts, though its fee block also repeats the 1% starting rate, and the page does not say how the figures fit together. Use cases listed include payouts to content creators, rewards, rebates and freelancer payments.

The fiat on-ramp lets a customer pay by card or wallet and the operator receive crypto. The page lists Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay, global coverage of 175+ countries and over 25 fiat currencies, and auto-withdrawal to any of 350+ cryptocurrencies. The adult page still labels fiat on-ramp as upcoming, and promises access to over 20 fiat currencies once it arrives, so the markets and methods active for an adult account are a question for the sales call. Accounts request on-ramp activation from the vendor.

Getting started and support

The help center describes the first steps: sign up, enter crypto wallet addresses, create an API key and choose an integration method. The site offers a demo call, a contact form, a service guides section, a status page and a help center. Support is described as available 24/7, which is the vendor's claim, and white label customers are told support is free. Separate contact lines are listed for support, partnerships, and marketing or token listing requests.

Company and track record

Beyond the 2019 founding, the home page makes volume claims: more than 30,000,000 finished transactions per month and 10k+ new partners per month. These are the vendor's own figures. The company sits inside a group of products that the footer names as ChangeNOW, NOWNodes and NOW Wallet. The about page describes the service as non-custodial, meaning it does not hold or store funds, while the payout tooling uses a custody account that the operator activates; the descriptions apply to different products.

Who it suits

In the adult payment processors category, NOWPayments fits an operator who wants to add crypto as a payment option next to cards, or a platform whose audience already holds crypto and values a fast checkout under the vendor's no-chargeback model. As e-wallet and banking infrastructure, it suits a site that pays many creators or partners and wants a single API call or CSV for the run, with a fiat off-ramp when the business wants to end up in a bank account. The caveats are plain. Customers must pay in crypto or through the on-ramp, and fiat on-ramp availability for adult accounts is marked upcoming. What stands out is the breadth of tooling under a single account: acceptance, white label, custody, conversion and payouts, with a published starting fee.
