What the vendor is

United Domains sells domain names to site owners through ud.com, which the site describes as a project of the ICANN-accredited registrar united-domains GmbH. The footer gives the company's address in Starnberg, Germany, with links to an imprint and a privacy policy, and customers of united-domains Germany are sent to a separate German site to log in. The site is a registrar and nothing more: registration, transfers, DNS settings, forwarding, renewals and subdomains for domains that an operator points at a host of its own choosing. It sells no hosting plans. Its adult offer is the .ADULT extension, which the adult domain page presents as one of the newest domains dedicated to the adult industry, from the company behind the .XXX domain. An adult name is bought through the same catalog and cart as any other extension on the site.

What it sells an operator

The .ADULT page pitches the extension under the heading "Discretion Advised" as a place to promote adult-oriented content "created specifically for that purpose." In October 2026 it lists €99 a year including 19.00% VAT for the first year, and the same €99 for renewal and for transfer, on a registration period of 1 year. The footer adds that promotional prices apply to the first year of new registrations only and not to renewals or transfers, so a name bought at a promotional rate renews at the standard one.

The .ADULT page lists these features as free with registration: URL forwarding, email forwarding, DNS management, subdomains, a SedoMLS listing, automatic renewals and a web app connection. The domain features panel names free DNS management, automatic renewal and unlimited subdomains. The site describes 400+ extensions in total, which is its own figure, and all of them are bought and managed through the same account.

The included-features page explains what each of those tools does. Email forwarding creates custom addresses on the domain that forward to an existing inbox, for several recipients or as a catch-all to a single destination. URL forwarding points the name at an existing site, store or portfolio. DNS management runs from a control panel the site describes as a few clicks to connect a domain to a website or email. The subdomain manager creates separate destinations under the name. Domain Connect links a domain to a chosen web service in minutes, with the site handling the technical steps. Automatic renewal renews the registration each year without the customer acting.

The extension list on the site includes .adult, .cam, .porn, .sex, .tube, .webcam and .xxx among the domains it sells. The .ADULT page gives reasons for registering in the namespace. One is that the extension lets consumers block adult content from sensitive audiences. The other is defensive registration, so that others cannot take the same name in the adult namespace. Both are the vendor's own framing.

The terms that decide the choice

The .ADULT page says erotic websites will be one of the main groups of registrants for the extension. It also says the extension suits grown-up material that is not strictly erotic, such as gaming, couples-only travel, age-restricted communities, and alcohol and tobacco brands. The page sets out no eligibility rule for .ADULT, unlike the country pages on the same site, where .CA, for example, is limited to Canadian citizens, permanent residents and qualifying Canadian organizations.

Content rules sit with the registries. The .ADULT price box links to Domain Guidelines, a registration agreements page that lists each extension with its registry documents. .ADULT, .PORN and .SEX each carry policies and additional registration agreements there, and .XXX is listed as "Adult Content" with its registration agreement and a link to the registry. The page says these terms apply to registrations under each extension and are incorporated into the customer's contract with ud.com, and that ICANN's Registrant Rights apply to all gTLDs.

The site publishes no refund or cancellation terms for registrations and no abuse reporting address or takedown procedure of its own. The footer has a Payment Options heading but lists no payment methods in text, and it carries a Sectigo Trusted Site Seal, which the company says it earned.

Getting started and support

Registration runs through the site's cart and a customer account, and the product page places the extension's guidelines link beside the price. Accounts can be secured with free two-factor authentication, which the site says links a phone or device to the account to protect the domain portfolio.

Support starts with a knowledge base that the contact page recommends checking first; the help center groups articles under domains, account and billing, and pre-registration of new top-level domains. After that, a customer can send a support ticket, which asks for the domain name and customer number, or email the support address, Monday to Friday from 9AM to 5PM CEST. The included-features page describes the support team as real people, with no phone trees and no call centers.

Company and track record

The site ud.com describes itself as a project of the ICANN-accredited registrar united-domains GmbH, with an office in Starnberg, Germany. The company states its mission as making domain registration affordable, transparent and simple. The copyright line reads united-domains GmbH, and the German customer base is served on its own site.

Who it suits

United Domains suits a site owner who wants a .ADULT name from a registrar that is ICANN-accredited and based in Germany, with free DNS, email and URL forwarding, automatic renewals and unlimited subdomains included and a stated annual price on the product page. It also suits an operator who wants several adult extensions, such as .porn, .sex, .xxx or .webcam, held in one account alongside the rest of a portfolio.

It is a weaker fit for an operator who wants the domain and hosting from one company, or who needs refund and abuse terms published by the registrar itself rather than by the registries. Support runs on weekday office hours in central Europe.

The strongest point for a site operator is the plain product page for .ADULT: the annual price with VAT, the registration period and the free DNS and renewal tools are all set out on one page, with the registry agreements one link away.
