NIC.UA is a registrar in Ukraine. Its about page says the company was created in 2007 by its founders, Andrew Khvetkevich and Sergey Bulakh, who the page describes as "the first in Ukraine who had developed software" that automated domain registration. The company registers domains, keeps them on its own name servers, and sells hosting, trademark filings and SSL certificates. The footer names NIC. UA LLC together with NICNAMES, INC. The about page title says Kyiv, and the contact page gives the company office and a postal box in Dnipro, with phone lines in both cities and a lifecell mobile number.

For a site operator the useful part of the offer is the .adult name plus the hosting that goes with it. The about page describes the clients as small and medium-sized businesses from around the world, as well as individuals, and says the site runs in 3 languages and accepts any payment instrument so that customers can order from any country.

What it sells an operator

The .adult page calls the extension "A domain zone for Internet resources intended for an adult audience" and says it was created in 2015. It describes .adult as a domain for adults with no geographical reference, suited to entertainment content, shopping and information resources, and points to .XXX and .SX as similar extensions. In October 2026 the same page lists a 1-year registration at 8,441.63 ₴ and a 1-year renewal at 10,092.31 ₴. A transfer is listed at 8,441.63 ₴, and a restore of an expired name at 12,831.68 ₴. Longer terms appear in the same table at a lower yearly rate, running from 2 to 10 years. The page adds that the price depends on the customer's accumulated discount, and that signing in shows the price with a personal discount. The name takes Latin letters only, between 3 and 63 characters, and the page states that Cyrillic and emoji are not supported.

The general price list carries the other adult extensions too. As of October 2026 it shows .porn, .sex and .xxx at the same registration, renewal and transfer prices as .adult, and it notes that a paid transfer extends the domain's validity by 1 year.

The shared hosting range runs through plans named NIC-S, NIC-M and NIC-L. In October 2026 the entry plan NIC-S starts at 215.65 ₴ a month on a 12-month term, with 1 GB of SSD storage, a 128 MB PHP memory limit and a single website. The larger plans step up to 5 and 10 websites, with more SSD space and PHP memory, at higher monthly prices, and every plan can also be taken for 1, 3 or 6 months. Each plan includes a free trial of 10 days, a choice of DirectAdmin or cPanel, a free mail server, unlimited subdomains, 100+ free applications such as WordPress, Drupal and Joomla, and unlimited MySQL and PostgreSQL access. The page also lists SSH access, pre-installed PHP, Python, NodeJS and Ruby, cloud name servers free for the master domain, and a free SSL certificate. Accounts are capped at 100 000 files.

The hosting page says the servers sit in a data center in Europe, that daily automatic backups are included in all pricing plans without using the disk space allocated to users, and that backups can also be uploaded to the cloud and to Dropbox. It describes SSD storage with DDR4 memory and an isolation technology for each user's processes, and it claims up to 99.8% uptime. Any hosting order other than the trial comes with a coupon for a free .site, .online, .co.ua or .biz.ua domain. A dedicated IP address and support for additional domains on the cloud name servers are sold as extras, each priced in dollars per year.

Premium hosting is sold differently. The page describes "Cloud hosting for massive projects" with distributed infrastructure, load balancing, DDoS protection, a content delivery network and full administration of the servers, including updates, virtual machines, containers and Kubernetes. Servers can be placed in Ukraine, Poland and other countries, on NVMe drives. The page gives no price for it. A prospective client fills in a request form describing the current servers and needs, and the company proposes a solution.

The company also sells SSL certificates, trademark registration and an AI website builder, which the hosting plans list as a feature. The about page adds that it can help complete the sale and purchase of domains, websites and entire businesses.

The terms that decide the choice

The .adult page says "The domain can be registered by all persons without exception, both individuals and legal entities." It also says "The area for adult content is in demand, but it is also mandatory to be allocated to the appropriate segment," and that sites on the extension can carry anything from very racy content to information on relationships between adults. For the finer points of registration it refers to a separate document of domain rules for .ADULT.

The hosting limitations list prohibits "Deployment of illegal content, file-sharing services and file storages on the web hosting server." The hosting pages do not mention adult content. Moving from a larger hosting plan to a smaller one costs a one-time 5 USD, according to the same list, read in October 2026.

Billing has several routes. Visa and MasterCard cards, including Visa Electron and Maestro, can be paid through a choice of 2 processing centers, and the page recommends PrivatBank's merchant service for PrivatBank cards and the Ukrainian Processing Center for Raiffeisen Bank Aval cards. The page also lists Privat24, LiqPay, bank transfer and money order at any Ukrainian bank, plus self-service terminals and an EasyPay top-up. Bank transfers and money orders take "between several hours to 3 business days", with invoice status checked from 8:00 to 20:00 Kyiv time on business days. A PayPal top-up of the personal account is credited within one business day during office hours. Crypto payments run through Whitepay from WhiteBIT, from a WhiteBIT balance or another crypto wallet.

Discounts and bonuses are the company's own schemes. In October 2026 the home page says a bonus balance can pay "up to 25%" of the next bill, and that a domain transfer to the company earns a permanent 15% discount. Under the referral program a referred customer gets a permanent discount, and the customer who sent them is credited with a share of their new orders on a bonus account. Top-ups of the basic account through online catalogs earn no bonus.

The site publishes no refund or cancellation terms and no abuse or takedown procedure. The "Contact domain owner" form lets anyone send a message to the administrator of a domain registered at NIC.UA. The about page says the company never discloses information about domains and websites to third parties without a thorough check.

Getting started and support

A new customer checks the name in the search on the .adult page and then orders it. For hosting, the order form asks for a primary domain for the account, which can be changed later in the private account, a control panel, a registration period and payment. The page says activation then gives access to the control panel to upload a site or install a CMS. The system accepts payment automatically, and an invoice is created when an order is placed.

Support is by phone, a ticket system, a knowledge base and online chat, and the .adult page lists an email address as well. The phone lines run Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 Kyiv time (GMT+2), and on weekends and holidays from 9:00 to 18:00, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00. The website works in English, Ukrainian and Russian, and prices can be shown in hryvnia, USD or EUR.

Company and track record

The company presents itself as a long-running registrar built on automation. Its about page credits the founders with the first software in Ukraine that automated domain registration, says the company introduced its own name servers, which respond on IPv4 and IPv6, and puts the staff at 15 employees because "We have automated everything!" The home page claims "More than 200 000 clients trust us". The about page also mentions special discounts for regular customers. These are the company's own claims.

The partners page lists companies, among them the payment services WayForPay and hutko and the store builders Shop-Express and Solomono, whose users can get NIC.UA promo codes for a free first year of domain registration.

Who it suits

NIC.UA suits an operator who wants an .adult, .porn, .sex or .xxx name from a Ukrainian registrar with registration, renewal, transfer and restore prices shown on the same page, and multi-year terms at a lower yearly rate. It also fits an operator who wants the domain, a mail server and SSL on one account, paid in hryvnia by card, Privat24, local bank transfer or crypto.

It is a weaker fit for an operator who needs a written adult policy for hosting or a published takedown procedure: the hosting pages say nothing about adult content either way, and the site publishes no abuse process. Premium hosting has no published price, and the shared plans cap files at 100 000.

The strength is clarity on price. The .adult page shows every operation and term in one table, and the hosting plans show the monthly price for each term, the free trial, and the storage, website count and memory limit side by side.
