What the vendor is

easyname GmbH is a domain, web hosting, email and server company based in Vienna, Austria. Its pages describe it as an Austrian provider in business since 2006, with a support team in Vienna, while the jobs page dates its foundation to 2005 and says it is now part of group.one, a group of companies in domains, web hosting and digital marketing. The product range covers domains, web hosting, email, SSL certificates, a website builder, virtual private servers and premium services such as migration and WordPress maintenance. For a site operator the relevant product is the .adult name, together with the hosting or virtual server that runs the site behind it.

What it sells an operator

The .adult page is the adult-specific product. It says the extension is "specifically designed for websites with adult content and services", and it states that the .adult top-level domain was introduced in 2014 as part of the new generic top-level domains. The page lists the uses it has in mind: adult entertainment websites, dating platforms for adults, adult toy and product retailers, adult education and consultation services, adult-oriented blogs and publications, age-restricted gaming platforms and adult wellness services. It also links the .porn, .sex and .webcam extensions among related domains.

In October 2026 the .adult page lists a monthly fee of €11.66, a setup fee of €0.00 and a minimum term of 12 months, with a 30-day cancellation period and billing in 12-month periods. The same page says renewal costs the same as registration and that the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. The name features it lists are DNS management, domain forwarding, email forwarding and domain privacy, which the page describes as protecting the registrant's personal information. The buy-domain page adds that names renew automatically unless renewal is switched off in the customer account, that terms run from one to ten years, that DNS records can be edited directly, and that customers can use their own name servers.

The hosting side is sold as packages and servers. The web hosting pages list SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt, backups every 2 hours, unlimited email accounts with virus and spam protection, SSH and SFTP access, a firewall and unlimited traffic, with no setup fee and 30 days' notice. The hosting FAQ names MySQL in versions 5.7 and 8 and PostgreSQL in version 9.6, and it lists more than 30 ready-made applications, including WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop and Matomo. For a server, the Linux VPS page lists Cloud Server XS with 50 GB SSD, 2 GB RAM and 1 CPU vCore. The fee schedule read in October 2026 puts it at €0.49 for the first 3 months, then €6.90 per month. Larger plans step up in SSD, RAM and vCores, the server pages say each VPS includes unlimited traffic and IPv4 and IPv6 addresses as standard, Windows plans come with a Windows Server license included, and a Docker-ready VPS can run its own containers and registry.

The pages also sell moves between providers. In October 2026 the hosting page prices a website migration from €129.00. It describes the move as a copy of files and databases followed by a change of nameservers or the A record, and it offers the move as a service run by its team in Vienna.

The terms that decide the choice

The .adult page sets a registrant rule and a content rule. It states: "Age verification: You must be 18 years or older to register", and it lists "Content responsibility: You're responsible for ensuring your content complies with local laws". It also says "No specific restrictions: Anyone can register a .adult domain for legitimate purposes". The registration steps on the page include a step to confirm the age requirement before payment. The registry named is ICM Registry LLC, and the page links the registry's terms for .adult names.

Those adult lines attach to the name. The hosting and VPS pages do not mention adult content, so they give no published acceptance of adult material on those products. The VPS FAQ adds that every server order is checked and approved by hand after payment, which the company says is done to prevent misuse.

The fee table lists no charge for a change of domain data or a change of owner. In October 2026 a transfer is listed at €139.90 including the annual fee, and the page states that a transfer needs an authorization code and can be locked. The buy-domain page says the owner can move a name to another provider at any time, with the auth code supplied on request. The VPS pages offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the .adult page gives a 30-day cancellation period.

Abuse handling sits with a dedicated abuse desk. The contact page lists it with its own email address and the same weekday hours as support, and it names a separate contact point for Regulation (EU) 2021/784, which it says is for that regulation only. The pages give no DMCA process. The company also states that it is not willing or obliged to take part in consumer arbitration proceedings.

Getting started and support

The domain flow starts with the domain checker, where every matching extension is shown with its price. The FAQ on the buy-domain page says the vendor reviews each order and approves it, after which the domain should be reachable within a few minutes, and it says a promotional price applies for the first year, with the standard annual price after that. Both prices are shown before an order is placed.

For a virtual server, the team approval comes within 24 hours on working days, the VPS FAQ says. After that the operating system is available in the control panel, where the server is started and managed. The page lists Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, CentOS and Windows Server, and the system can be reinstalled at any time.

Support is listed as German and English, Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 18:00 and Friday from 9:00 to 17:00, with separate email addresses for support, billing and abuse and one phone number on the contact page. The adult page lists free email support, telephone support and an online help center, and it also lists 24/7 support among its included features, while the contact page gives the weekday hours above.

Company and track record

The imprint gives the company name as easyname GmbH, registered at the commercial court in Vienna, and names a managing director. The hosting and server pages place the servers in an ISO/IEC 27001 certified data center in Vienna that the company says runs on nuclear-free, carbon-neutral electricity, and the hosting page says it also operates sites in Frankfurt and Zurich. The VPS page describes the cloud servers as GDPR-compliant. The company's own pages claim over 230,000 client projects and more than 480 domain extensions on sale.

Who it suits

For a new adult site owner who wants a .adult name from an Austria-based company with German and English support, the offer is a clear fee table, a 12-month minimum term, a 30-day cancellation period and hosting from the same company. The pages publish a 2-character minimum and a 63-character maximum for the name, and numeric-only names are not available.

It fits less well for an operator who needs written adult content terms for hosting or a VPS, a DMCA process, or a billing product for recurring member payments, none of which the pages describe. The adult-specific terms the pages publish are the 18-or-older rule and the content responsibility line, and both attach to the .adult name, not to the hosting.

The strength is the plain price table and the published rules on transfers, renewals and owner changes, which an operator can check before paying.
