Deutsche Domainbank

Deutsche Domainbank is a German-language domain registrar trading from the direkt-domains.de site, whose header reads "Domains einfach günstig und schnell registrieren", register domains simply, cheaply and quickly. The site is built around domain registration: its navigation lists domains, DynDNS and a reseller program, and it sells no hosting. The home page says the company is a registered member of DENIC, EURid and nic.at. For a site operator it is a place to hold names, point them at a server elsewhere, park them, sell them and resell them, with a dedicated .adult page that describes the extension as the generic top-level domain "für Webseiten mit explizitem Inhalt", for websites with explicit content.

What it sells an operator

The .adult page presents one product, registration of .adult names, with one price line. In October 2026 the page lists €154.40 for the first year and €167.90 for each following year, under the generic top-level domain heading, with a 1-year term. The first-year figure carries an asterisk whose footnote is not printed on the page. The home page price list repeats the same pair for .adult and lists .xxx at €146.90 for the first year and €159.70 after that. All prices on the site include statutory German VAT, the pages state, and every extension in the list shows a first-year and a following-year price, so the renewal cost is visible before ordering.

The same October 2026 list covers country codes and generic extensions at length, with .de and .com at the head of its "TOP 8 Domains" table and Austrian, Swiss and EU extensions alongside them for the German-speaking market. An operator who wants a .adult or .xxx name next to a .de, .at or .ch brand name can hold all of them in one account. For cam and dating operators the same list carries .webcam at €30.40 for the first year and €33.00 after that, and .dating at €78.80 and €85.70. A few country codes, such as .uk, .to and .ph, are sold only on 2-year terms, which the list marks in its term column.

Each managed name can be pointed at a site in the ways the page names: a header relocation, a frame redirect, or DNS routing straight to the IP address of the operator's server. For experienced users the DNS editor lets A, CNAME, MX and TXT records be changed freely, a feature the page marks as new. A name can also simply be parked until it is needed, and the page pitches this as a way to add many domains to an existing web space at low cost.

On request, the account adds a dynamic DNS service that updates the IP address automatically, also marked new. The home page presents it for reaching a home computer from anywhere when the connection's IP address changes.

For selling names, the account links directly to the SEDO marketplace, which the page describes as a channel to advertise and sell domains. For managing names for others, the home page invites the reader to become a reseller and manage domains in a back end of their own, for themselves and their clients.

The terms that decide the choice

Ownership is handled in a way an operator should note. The page says the customer is entered as the administrative contact (Admin-C), while the owner (Owner-C) can be freely chosen, so a brand, a company or a client can be named as the holder of a .adult name. A move to another provider is released by the registrant through a confirmation e-mail, on the registrant's own responsibility.

The .adult page carries the same "Rechtliche Einschränkungen" block as the site's other extension pages: "Es gelten keine Einschränkungen" (no restrictions apply), followed by a sentence about the .immo extension. Beyond its one line on explicit content, the page sets no usage rule of its own for .adult names, and the registrar has no hosting product to which a content rule would apply. The technical block, also shared across the extension pages, says only name servers already known at Verisign may be used for domains under the gTLD, that only a registrar can register them, that the company will do this for the customer on receipt of the name servers and their IP addresses, and that registration takes about 48 hours.

The cost structure on the page is simple: no monthly base fees, and support free of charge for the whole contract term. The footer links the general terms (AGB), a privacy policy, a right-of-withdrawal page and a form to withdraw from a contract, along with an imprint page.

Getting started and support

Ordering follows the usual registrar pattern: search for the name, check that it is free, and order it. The page says registration is done within a few minutes, around the clock, and that the company offers numerous top-level domains worldwide. Each account includes a detailed information database on all domains and access to the messages of the domain robot, the system that reports on the status of the account's names. Name server registration for a gTLD is handled by the company on request, as described above.

The reseller route gives a reseller its own back end to register and manage names for clients, under the same price list. Support is described as free for the full contract term.

Company and track record

The company brands itself as Deutsche Domainbank and states its registered membership of DENIC, EURid and nic.at on the home page. Its home page also says that only it offers all domains at extremely low prices, which is the company's own wording; a .berlin offer is advertised in the header. The pages give no founding year, team or named clients.

Who it suits

Deutsche Domainbank fits an operator who wants a German-language registrar with membership of the main German-speaking registries, a .adult or .xxx name with both first-year and renewal prices shown up front, a freely chosen owner contact, editable DNS records and a reseller back end for managing names on behalf of clients. It also fits an operator who parks names, forwards them to an existing site or sells them through the SEDO link. It fits less well for an operator who wants hosting on the same account, or English-language pages. Its strongest points are the absence of monthly base fees, free support for the term, direct DNS control and a reseller back end.
