Combell is a Belgian domain and hosting company, trading as Combell nv, with a dedicated registration page for the .adult extension. The page says that with a .adult name "companies who offer ADULT services or sell adult products, get their own namespace on the internet", and lists websites with content for adults among the uses. The company calls itself the largest provider of Belgian domain names, its own claim. For a site operator the useful split is between what Combell sells to name a site and what it sells to run one: the adult wording is on the domain page, while the hosting, server and colocation pages are written for businesses in general.

What it sells an operator

In October 2026 the .adult registration page lists the extension at €118.45 a year, with registration and renewal priced the same and activation free; all prices on the site exclude VAT. The same page shows .sex at €136.22 among similar extensions. Around the name the company bundles a mailbox and e-mail addresses on the domain, a free mini website built with SiteBuilder, a free Flexmail account for e-mail campaigns to 1,000 contacts for six months, unlimited subdomains, redirection of the domain to another site or a social page, and forwarding of all mail sent to the new address into an existing inbox. Customers also get discounts on partner tools. An existing .adult name or website held with another provider can be transferred to Combell's servers at no charge.

The hosting pages sell the rest of the stack: web hosting, WordPress and managed WordPress, managed WooCommerce, Drupal, Joomla and Node.js hosting, database hosting, dedicated web hosting, VPS, cloud and private cloud servers, OpenStack, Kubernetes, colocation and managed services. As of October 2026 the Dutch hosting page lists reseller hosting, sold under the reseller's own name, from €7.89 a month, with a bulk discount down to €4.69 a month from 5 packages. Dedicated web hosting and custom servers are sold with an uptime guarantee, under an SLA for dedicated web hosting, and custom servers are priced on request. Colocation works differently: Combell hosts the customer's own servers in dedicated colocation data centers in the regions of Antwerpen, Brussel and Gent for a monthly fee and handles physical security, while the customer stays responsible for managing the server.

The technology page lists the platform behind the hosting: Nginx and HAProxy load balancing, OpenStack and Docker, Redis and Varnish caching, SSD and NetApp storage, VMware, Debian and Windows, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, Apache, LiteSpeed and Nginx web servers, a WAF, DDoS protection and Veeam backups.

The terms that decide the choice

The adult-specific term on the pages concerns the name. The .adult page presents the extension for companies that offer adult services or sell adult products, and the registration itself carries no further content condition on the page. The hosting, server and colocation pages are silent on adult sites either way, and the footer links general conditions.

Refunds are stated plainly for the domain: the .adult page offers a full refund within 3 months of purchase under the money-back guarantee, and the home page repeats a general money-back promise for dissatisfied customers.

On abuse, the abuse page holds a complaint form that asks for the complainant's company, name, e-mail address, the domain, the subject and a detailed description, and asks whether the complainant consents to Combell sharing their contact details with the domain owner so the owner can respond faster. The page says every complaint is investigated thoroughly. Combell N.V. publishes DSA transparency reports under EU regulation 2022/2065, with links to the 2024 and 2025 reports covering the orders, notices, complaints and measures it handled. A separate copyright notice and counter-notice procedure is not set out.

Security is covered in product terms. The hosting page describes Combell Shield, a layer of firewalls and filtering against bots, DDoS attacks, SQL injection and brute-force attempts, a malware scanner that runs daily, a SiteSweep service that removes malicious code from a hacked site, free SSL certificates and cloud backups for any hosting type. The footer links an ISO certification page.

Combell is a registrar and host, so payment processing, reserves and payouts fall outside what it sells. Its partner pages offer a reseller program, where the reseller sets its own prices and bills its own customers, an affiliate program, and a commission partner program for agencies that refer customers and stay on as technical contact.

Getting started and support

Registration runs in short steps on the page: search for the name, complete the order if it is free, have it registered, then create the free mailbox and mini website. The control panel offers single-click installs of WordPress, Drupal and Joomla, a file manager, FTP and SSH access, phpMyAdmin and a test environment in managed WordPress, and the hosting page lists Git-based deployment through Autogit. Moving an existing website to Combell is free.

The .adult page says the support team answers day and night in the customer's own language, even on Christmas Eve, by phone, e-mail or chat, on a free Belgian number and an international line. The support page sets the details: e-mail answered within 24 hours, live chat in the control panel between 9 and 17 hours, and a knowledge base with video tutorials. The commission partner page says support runs 24/7 in 3 languages, and the site itself is offered in Dutch, French and English. For sites that cannot go down, extended support under an SLA adds monitoring, solution guarantees and compensation if things still go wrong.

Company and track record

The footer carries a copyright line for Combell nv running from 1999 to 2026. The hosting page says its data centers connect directly to the largest Belgian internet providers, naming Telenet and Proximus, and are secured and backed up throughout. The home page presents Yesplan, a planning software platform for cultural venues, as a client whose custom hosting Combell has run since 2011, and the .adult page shows a customer rating based on 251 reviews.

Who it suits

The .adult registration suits an operator who wants a clear name for an adult brand, a business mailbox, a simple landing site and a Belgian supplier with multilingual support around the clock. The 3-month refund gives a new buyer room to change course, and the free transfer makes it practical to consolidate names held elsewhere. It is a weaker fit for an operator who needs a written adult hosting policy before moving a live site onto Combell's servers, since the hosting pages do not give one. Its strongest published points are the bundle around the name, the refund window, the abuse route with DSA reporting and the support terms.
