What the vendor is

Atak Domain is a domain registrar. Its English .adult page describes it as an ICANN-accredited registrar with 23+ years of experience and 100K+ active customers in 200+ countries, and its Turkish home page says it has offered domain registration since 2003 under IANA ID 1601. The footer lists Türkiye, England and Cyprus as its locations, and the site runs in English, Turkish, Russian and German. For a site operator the product that matters here is the .adult extension, which the page presents as "A Namespace Set Aside for Adult Content", with ICM Registry AD LLC named as the sponsoring registry. The same account also sells general domains, hosting, corporate email, SSL certificates and a reseller program.

What it sells an operator

The .adult extension is sold as a registration, priced line by line. In October 2026 the English .adult page lists a new registration at $109.90 per year, a transfer at $110.49 per year and a renewal at $118.99 per year, with a restore fee of $331.50 and a late renewal fee of $19.98. The page heads that table "No Surprise Fees" and says the renewal price can differ from the first-year price, which is why both are shown. Registration runs for 1 to 10 years, and the page says no documents are required to register a .adult domain.

The specification table sets a name length of 1 to 63 characters and allows 1 to 13 name servers. Transfer support and late renewal support are both marked Yes; IDN support is marked No, so names in non-Latin scripts are not offered on this extension.

Every .adult domain comes with the same package on the page: free DNS management, with A, MX, TXT and CNAME records changed from the control panel without waiting on support; a domain lock that blocks a move to another registrar without the owner's approval; domain forwarding to an existing site, a campaign page or a social profile at no extra cost; and free WHOIS privacy, which keeps the owner's name, address and phone number out of public WHOIS records. The Turkish home page adds a trustee service among the domain features.

The page groups .adult with related extensions, .porn, .sex, .sexy and .xxx, and suggests registering the same name on more than one of them so nobody else takes the brand. Its FAQ says .adult and .xxx answer to the same organization, ICM Registry, and that brands often register both, one as the working address and the other held defensively. When a name is taken, the page lists close alternatives, and the home page points to the domain broker service.

Beside the domain, the page names web hosting, corporate email and SSL certificates as the services that complete a site. The hosting pages are in Turkish and cover shared, Linux, Node.js, Python, WordPress and corporate plans with cPanel or Plesk, free site migration, weekly automatic backups each kept for 7 days, a 14-day refund guarantee and an uptime guarantee the page writes as "%99.9 uptime". Those pages say nothing about adult sites, so the hosting is not presented as adult hosting.

The terms that decide the choice

The registrar sets out no content rule of its own for .adult names. The page describes the extension as set aside for adult content and says the registry calls it a namespace built for online adult content. On eligibility, the FAQ declines to state a firm rule on who may register and tells the reader to read the registry terms the registrar passes on before ordering.

Two FAQ answers speak to running an adult site on the name. One says the dedicated namespace makes filtering simpler for corporate networks, parental control software and some countries' access policies, so an address reaches fewer people it was not aimed at and will not open where it was not wanted. The other says some payment processors and mail services apply specific acceptance terms to this content category and that their acceptance policies should be read before the name is registered. A third answer lists connection security and age verification first among technical measures for a .adult site, followed by DNS signing, regular backups and keeping media apart from the application server.

Expiry follows a published day-by-day timeline. On its expiry date the domain goes on Client Hold, and the site and email stop that day. For the first 20 days a renewal brings everything back, with the late renewal fee added. On day 20 the registration is deleted and the 30-day redemption period begins, during which only a paid restore returns the name, up to day 50. The final 5 days allow no renewal or restore, and on day 55 the name is open to anyone. The page explains that the ICANN chart shows a renewal window of up to 45 days, that ICANN policy lets a registrar delete an expired name earlier if it discloses its policy, and that Atak Domain applies 20 days. Auto-renewal keeps a name out of the sequence.

The footer names a Report Abuse contact and a non-public registration data disclosure policy; an abuse procedure is not set out in detail.

Getting started and support

To register, an operator checks availability, adds the name to the cart and completes the order; the home page says standard registrations are active within minutes, sometimes after an email confirmation. Transfers in use a form that asks for the transfer code, and a name can go into the cart without it. The home page says a transfer usually completes in 5 to 7 days and that 60 days must have passed since the first registration or the last transfer.

The .adult page offers phone support and a live support request. The home page advertises 24/7 expert support and multilingual customer support.

Company and track record

Atak Domain describes 23+ years of experience and 100K+ active customers in 200+ countries, and says it offers 1,600+ TLDs, country code domains included. The Turkish home page says it has been an accredited registrar since 2003 and claims that more than 1,000 multinational companies trust its domain management. The .adult page records that the extension was delegated to the root zone on 26 November 2014. These are the company's own figures.

Who it suits

It suits an operator who wants an adult name with the ownership features built in: DNS management, a domain lock, forwarding and WHOIS privacy at no extra cost, with no documents to send. A brand holding .adult and .xxx side by side can manage both on one account. It fits less well for an operator who needs internationalized names, which the page lists as unsupported, or adult hosting from the same company, since the hosting pages carry no adult policy. In the October 2026 price table renewal sits above the first-year price and a late renewal adds a fee, so budgeting should start from the renewal line. Its clearest published strengths are the ownership package on every .adult name and an expiry timeline written out day by day.
