What the vendor is
Smart Scripts is a script vendor that sells self-hosted PHP products to webmasters, with a copyright line running from 2005 to 2026. Its main product is Smart Tube Pro, which its page calls a full tube site content management solution. The products page also lists Smart Thumbs, a thumbnail gallery post (TGP) script, and Smart Spots, a fast and simple ad rotation script, and the site footer names a fourth product, Smart Tube & Text. Each is sold as a per-copy license that the buyer installs on a server it controls. The buyer it serves is a tube or TGP webmaster who bills its own members through adult billers such as CCBill, Epoch, Zombaio and NATS, and who wants to own the software rather than rent a hosted platform. The site gives no company location or founding date.
What it sells an operator
Smart Tube Pro is the flagship. Its page says it was built from the ground up after more than a year of development, and that the team listened to the needs of hundreds of professional webmasters while building it. It is fully template driven with Smarty, with search-engine friendly URLs, advanced caching for high traffic sites, unlimited language translations and UTF-8 support. Each video can be converted into several formats, including FLV, VP6 and mp4 versions for iPhone and iPod, with its own watermark per format, a saved original for later conversion, preview samples cut from the full video and animated mouse-over previews. Paid formats can sit in a protected directory served through lighttpd's mod_secdownload, so free members see lower quality and paying members the full file.
The community side covers member profiles, favorites and playlists, comments and ratings, interest groups with their own forums, user blogs and internal messaging, and a site-wide niche filter so that, in the page's example, straight users do not see gay content. The admin can approve videos and galleries before they appear, review items flagged as inappropriate, ban words, IP addresses and countries, reject registrations and uploads from selected countries through GeoIP, and add unlimited HTML advertising zones.
Billing is built in. The paid membership system offers timed membership, for example for 30 days, and a credit system for pay per video or gallery, priced flat or by video length and picture count. Account types are user and webmaster, with separate view, upload and membership limits, and the billing system can charge webmasters for submitter accounts as well as surfers for access. The integrated billers are CCBill, Epoch, Epoch MPA3, Zombaio, NATS4 and MPA3, plus the SMS micropayment services Bepass and GlobalAccess. Submitters can add their own banner to their video pages as a reciprocal link, affiliate codes passed in a link are stored at signup and credited when the member buys, and affiliates can build iframe widgets of site content carrying their own code.
Smart Thumbs is a TGP script that works with any trade script. It automates gallery previews and thumbnail cropping, runs several domains from one database and admin (with one license needed per domain), checks galleries for changes and broken links, scans them for malicious code such as JavaScript redirects, popups, iframes and meta refreshes, and keeps email, word and domain blacklists. Rotation is productivity based, with per-thumbnail and per-sponsor skim settings, paid spots that expire by clicks, exposures or date, a public submission form for partner webmasters and a built-in traffic analyzer that highlights suspicious traffic.
Pricing is per copy, and the price falls with each copy. In October 2026 the order page lists Smart Tube Pro at $499 for the first copy and $299 for the third, with a 20-copy pack at $1499. Smart Thumbs starts at $250 for the first copy and Smart Spots costs $50 a copy. Optional installation is $40 for Smart Tube Pro and Smart Thumbs, and a domain change costs $25 on both.
The terms that decide the choice
The free edition is the term to weigh first. The home page says a buyer can install unlimited free copies of Smart Tube Pro with every feature of the commercial version, nothing removed. As of October 2026 the free script skims 1.5% of traffic per install, and a small link back to the vendor's site is required. A paid license key removes the skim and migrates the free copies to the commercial, non-skimming version. The site does not say how the skim is counted or reported.
The site publishes no acceptable use policy, no refund or cancellation terms for licenses and no separate license text. Content control sits with the operator, through the approval queue, the flagging tools, the ban lists and the GeoIP rules described above. The flagging tool covers inappropriate content; the site offers no procedure for notices from rights holders.
Buyers pay the vendor by Paxum or PayPal. Members pay the operator through whichever of the integrated billers the operator signs with, and the order page lists no fee beyond the license, installation and domain change prices.
Getting started and support
The order form asks for a product, the number of copies, whether installation is wanted, a username, an email address and an ICQ number, with a coupon field and a choice of Paxum or PayPal. A password is generated and emailed, and the buyer downloads the software from the owners' lounge. Each product has its own server requirements page, a screenshots page and a demo, and the Smart Thumbs demo includes an admin login for testing.
Support runs through the vendor's forum, which the contacts page names as the place where questions get answered. Sales questions go to the staff contacts listed on that page, by email, ICQ or Skype.
The home page announces new script files for PHP 8 for Smart Thumbs, Smart Tube Pro and Smart Spots, released because users asked for them. Members can download an installer from the member area to test the PHP 8 version before the vendor releases updates for scripts already installed.
Company and track record
The site presents Smart Scripts as a long-running vendor, with the copyright line from 2005 and a product range built around tube and TGP sites. The contacts and home pages carry webmaster testimonials praising the tube script's built-in support for billers such as CCBill, Epoch, MPA3 and NATS4, and the Smart Thumbs page claims its rotator runs on a site with more than 1,120,000 hits per day. That figure is the vendor's own. The tube script's feature list still names a basic Flash player and the staff contacts still use ICQ, alongside the newer PHP 8 release.
Who it suits
Smart Tube Pro suits a webmaster who wants a self-hosted tube site with paid membership, pay-per-video credits, submitter accounts and the common adult billers already wired in, and who can run its own server. The free edition suits a trial or a small site, with the traffic skim as the cost. Smart Thumbs suits an operator running a TGP or a trade network who wants automated cropping and rotation across several domains, and Smart Spots suits a site that sells its own ad spots.
It suits less well a buyer who wants written license and refund terms, or a modern hosted platform with support hours. The strength is ownership at a one-off price: a full tube CMS with billing built in, sold per copy, with installation offered for a small fee.
